For Portable A/V Equipment Checkout

Teaching & Learning Technologies (TLT) provides portable A/V equipment for use in courses, free of charge. For all non-course uses, a nominal fee applies.

Most equipment can be delivered directly to your classroom. If you prefer, your reserved A/V equipment can be picked up from our TLT offices in the Marriott Library Faculty Center, Suite 1705.

A technician can also be scheduled at your request to remain on-site during the entire duration of your class or event.

About Scheduling & Deliveries

Teaching & Learning Technologies requires 24 hours advance scheduling for all portable classroom equipment deliveries. However, we may be able to accommodate same day requests based on the availability of both equipment and staff; we may also ask customers submitting a same day request to pick up classroom equipment at our will-call desk in the Marriott Library Faculty Center, Suite 1705.

Teaching & Learning Technologies requires one week’s notice for requests wanting technician support throughout the duration of a class or event. Event request submissions are due by Friday at noon for events taking place the following week from Monday to Sunday.

A/V Equipment Information

    (Small equipment items (such as microphones, audio recorders, camcorders, etc.) cannot be delivered to classrooms. These items must be picked up at will call at the Marriott Library Faculty Center, Suite 1705 or delivered to an office location where the requester or office representative can sign for them.)
Payment Information

TLT does require a University of Utah chartfield in order to reserve equipment or support for non-class events. A campus order will be generated using this information and your project will be charged to it. Your account will not be charged until the project is complete and delivered.

TLT accepts University purchasing card payments, however, you will still need to enter a chartfield to submit your request. If you are planning on paying by card, please call 801-581-6744 to give your card information after you have submitted your request. When submitting payment information, please reference the Zendesk ticket number that you receive in your confirmation email. Your provided chartfield will not be charged if you provide University purchasing card information. Purchasing card information will not be stored on file for future requests.
